私たちの研究室では、粉体材料プロセッシング技術を最大限に活用して、原子～ナノ～ミクロスケールで構造制御された環境・エネルギー・情報機器に貢献する先進セラミックスや複合材料を創ることを目指しています。
このためには、部材の微構造を能動的に作り込んで所望の特性を引き出す技術の構築や、できるだけ部材を破壊しにくくする、すなわち機械的信頼性の向上を実現しながら材料を製造する手法の確立が不可欠です。さらに、これらのものづくりの工程は、カーボンニュートラルや資源循環社会に資するものであることが求められています。
我々は、これまでに勘と経験に頼りがちだった粒子合成・分散・成形・焼結・加工といったセラミックスや複合材料の粉体プロセスをより科学的な立場から解明したうえで、的確に制御、活用するための研究を行っています。
