Excursion
The bus for the excursion will depart at 13:00 in front of the conference venue. Depending on the weather on the day, we are planning to go to the following place.
5th Station of Mt. Fuji
Fujisan (Mt. Fuji) , which has given a significant influence on the formation of Japanese people’s view of nature and culture, was registered as a World Cultural Heritage site by UNESCO as "Fujisan as an object of faith and the source of art" in 2013. Fujisan that has fostered the faith typified by Fuji-ko sect and a variety of arts including ukiyoe is the world treasure that should be inherited in the future as the one symbolizing the symbiosis of people and nature.
We will go to 5th Station of Mt. Fuji, which is the highest point that can be reached by bus. (Unfortunately, the 2022 climbing season is finished. Trails have been already closed.) The elevation of the 5th Station of Mt. Fuji is about 2400m. The weather at 5th station of Mt. Fuji is usually fine or slightly cloudy in the afternoon of November, but the temperature is 1-5 OC . You should bring a thick coat for protection against the cold.
Fujisan World Heritage Center
Fujsan World Heritage Center takes the lead in providing information on Mt. Fuji's outstanding universal value to many people visiting World Heritage site Fujisan, and in preserving and managing the site.
You will be able to experience the natue in Mt. Fuji and the culture related to the Mt. Fuji.
Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine
Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine is part of the Mt. Fuji UNESCO Wold Cultural Heritage site. This shrine is one of approximately 1300 Asama shrines in Japan that enshrine the deity of volcanoes in general and Mt. Fuji in particular.

Transportation to the banquet after excursion
The bus will drop off those who wish to get off the bus at Fujisan Eki Station around 17:15, followed by West-inn Fujiyoshida, arriving at the conference venue at 17:30. .
After leaving their thick coat in their rooms and getting ready, the bus will pick up participants again at 18:15 at Fujisan Eki Station, followed by West-inn Fujiyoshida. It will arrive at the Highland Resort hotel before 18:30. The banquet will then begin.
